Ask Barvol (AI Chat)
Ask Barvol is a conversational AI interface that answers questions about your company using your actual business data — not generic knowledge. It can query your tasks, goals, decisions, feedback, CRM, journal, and integration data to give you grounded, specific answers.
What Ask Barvol can do
Ask Barvol is most useful for questions that would normally require you to open 4 different tools. Examples:
- "What did we ship last week and how does it relate to our Q3 goal?"
- "Which customers have been quiet for more than 3 weeks?"
- "Summarize the key themes in the feedback we received in July."
- "What decisions have we made about pricing in the last year?"
- "Generate my weekly synthesis for last week."
- "Create a task: follow up with Acme Corp by Friday."
- "Log a decision: we're switching from monthly to annual billing for enterprise customers."
- "What are the three biggest risks to hitting our revenue goal this quarter?"
How it works
Ask Barvol has access to all data in your workspace — tasks, goals, decisions, feedback, CRM records, journal entries, and data from connected integrations. When you ask a question, Barvol retrieves the relevant data, reasons over it, and constructs an answer grounded in what it found.
Answers are not fabricated — if Barvol cannot find relevant data, it says so rather than making something up. You can ask it to cite the specific records it used to answer a question.
Write actions
Ask Barvol is not read-only. It can create and update records on your behalf. Current write actions include:
- Create tasks
- Update task status
- Log decisions
- Add feedback entries
- Add CRM notes
- Create journal entries
- Update goal progress
Before completing a write action, Barvol shows you a confirmation card with the details of what it is about to create or change. You must confirm before it proceeds.
Chat history
Your conversation history with Ask Barvol is saved. You can scroll back through previous conversations or use the search field to find a specific past exchange. Conversations are organized chronologically and are visible only to you — other workspace members cannot see your chat history.
Click "New Chat" to start a fresh conversation without previous context. Use this when switching topics to avoid confusing the AI with unrelated prior context.
Message limits
Message limits vary by plan:
- Free — 50 messages per month
- Founder — 500 messages per month
- War Room — unlimited messages
Your current usage is shown at the bottom of the chat panel. Limits reset on your billing cycle date.
