Integrations
Barvol connects to the tools your team already uses to pull in operational data automatically. The more integrations you connect, the richer the context available to the AI and the more useful your workspace becomes.
Available integrations
Gmail
Read customer emails and surface contact context in Barvol.
Google Calendar
Sync your calendar events and see them alongside tasks and milestones.
GitHub
Track commits, pull requests, and developer velocity.
Slack
Import team conversations and receive Barvol notifications in Slack.
Notion
Connect your knowledge base and sync documents as context for the AI.
Linear
Pull in issues, cycles, and project status from Linear.
Connecting an integration
Open the Integrations page from the sidebar and click on the integration you want to connect. Each integration uses OAuth — you will be redirected to the service's authorization page, grant the required permissions, and be returned to Barvol. No passwords or API keys need to be entered manually.
After connecting, an initial sync runs immediately. Depending on how much data you have, this can take a few seconds to a few minutes. You will see a sync progress indicator on the integration card.
Data sync frequency
Integrations sync on the following schedule:
- Gmail — every 15 minutes for new emails
- Google Calendar — real-time (webhook-based)
- GitHub — every 10 minutes for new commits and PRs
- Slack — every 30 minutes for recent messages
- Notion — every hour for document changes
- Linear — every 10 minutes for issue updates
You can trigger a manual sync for any integration by opening the integration card and clicking "Sync now."
Managing permissions
Each integration requests only the permissions it needs. Barvol never requests write access to services unless a write capability is explicitly documented (for example, no integration currently allows Barvol to send emails or post Slack messages on your behalf).
You can review the exact OAuth scopes requested by each integration on its setup page. You can revoke an integration at any time — go to the Integrations page, click on the connected integration, and select "Disconnect." Revoking access in Barvol does not revoke the OAuth authorization from the third-party service; you should also revoke it from the service's authorized apps page if you want to be thorough.
