Workspace
A Barvol workspace is the shared environment for your company. It holds your integrations, data, team members, and AI context. Everything in Barvol happens within a workspace.
Workspace settings
Access workspace settings by clicking your workspace name in the top-left corner of the sidebar, then selecting "Workspace Settings." Settings are organized into several tabs:
- General — workspace name, company description, industry, and stage. This information is used by the AI as business context.
- Members — invite, remove, and manage roles for team members.
- Integrations — connect, disconnect, and manage data sources.
- AI Context — your current focus, key customer segments, and any additional context you want the AI to use.
- Billing — your current plan, usage, and payment method.
Team members and roles
Workspaces support two roles:
- Owner — full control over workspace settings, billing, and all data. There is always exactly one owner. Ownership can be transferred to another member from the Members tab.
- Member — can read and create data (tasks, goals, decisions, feedback, CRM entries) but cannot change workspace settings, manage integrations, or access billing.
The number of members allowed in a workspace depends on your plan. The Free plan is single-user, Founder supports up to 5 members, and War Room is unlimited.
Inviting team members
Go to Workspace Settings, open the Members tab, and enter the email addresses of people you want to invite. They will receive an email with a link to join your workspace. If they do not have a Barvol account, they will be prompted to create one — their account will be automatically added to your workspace once they sign up.
Pending invitations appear in the Members list until they are accepted. You can cancel a pending invitation at any time.
Multiple workspaces
A single Barvol account can belong to multiple workspaces — for example, if you are a founder managing two companies, or if a consultant is added to a client's workspace. Switch between workspaces using the workspace dropdown in the top-left corner.
Each workspace has independent data, integrations, and AI context. There is no data sharing between workspaces.
Deleting a workspace
Only the workspace owner can delete a workspace. This action is irreversible and permanently deletes all data associated with the workspace, including tasks, goals, journal entries, CRM records, and integration data.
To delete a workspace, go to Workspace Settings, select the Danger Zone section at the bottom, and follow the confirmation steps. You will be asked to type the workspace name to confirm.
